I’m still very interested to read the response from TNG. A lot of maybes have been thrown around and any of these assumptions could well end up being correct and very positive.

But for me to feel confident I want to hear that TNG have indeed been out there drilling monitoring bores OUTSIDE of the borefield - between it and Stirling Swamp and between the pit and Mud Hut Swamp. I want to hear they’re already all over this.

As far as I’m aware there are no statements in previous announcements that they’ve drilled anything outside of the nominated bore field.

In March 2016 the CLC published the following recommendation as part of their submission;

“Mud Hut swamp is an area of high cultural significance. Further hydrogeological study should be undertaken to understand the groundwater flow including potential impacts of draw down on Mud Hut Swamp”

As we know TNG revisited aquifer drilling and modeling shortly after in July 2016

No reference to Stirling or Mud Hut. If they’ve ignored the TO’s then I see that as a very silly move. But what do I know.
