MDA's now scrapped going forward by Tanz Govt. and Magnis consider current MDA invalid, presumably in light of 16% free carry.

"There are different categories of licences but we agreed that Special Mining Licences (SML) will be issued after approval by the cabinet,” added Prof Kabudi.
Difficult now to see any revised MDA on the cards and with Magnis looking for Commission to confirm mining licence agreements, Cabinet review a possibility to simply ratify SML ex MDA.
