Like I suggested in my first post, for all we know Checkmate and Mr. Wilson could be just as much victims in this as CCP. 'Checkmate Research' is a very generic sounding name, and the author of this post might have thought they were being clever with that name ... so clever that something like an ABR or ASIC name search was completely unnecessary.
Until Mr. Wilson either confirms or denies that his firm is the origin of this report, I'd be very wary of implicating him, lest one accidentally falls onto the wrong side of the defamation fence.
