    I think you have nailed it.
    But number 3 is most likely IMO - but I tend to disagree that it is not good.
    If - as we all wish - Resapp is entering into a new phase, they will need a team of serious business people to help them through.
    Scientists make very poor businessmen - Resapp will need to engage some very capable staff to actually se through the detail of bringing the product to commercialisation, there is the wages to start with but also the marketing, the 'lawyers' and a lot of other stuff that costs money.

    To me this signals that Resapp do intend, in the short term to go it alone, so they do not have to sell out at a bargain price.

    Remember this time last year, it was indeed a blessing in disguise that it all failed, as not only were Resapp able to improve the product significantly in the intervening time, but they have become far more mature in the way of dealing with the business side of things. A greater understanding of how it all works - and of course the biggest potential customer is still very probably the US Medicare. (forgive my bizarre post yesterday)

    So yes, I do not have any issue with raising a quick 5m to be able to engage people that know what they are doing - and give them the budget to do it.
