Sorry but I disagree. I think the c/r is being done off the back of recent news and a change in sentiment, capitalising (no pun intended) on the current share price.
I don’t think this has any reflection on the possible upcoming news.
I can however understand people would be peeved at subscribing to a c/r then followed by disappointing news.
