I strongly believe Alkane Resources is struggling with a focus. Its marketed as a multi-commodity company eg. gold mining and zirconium with rare earth development.
The Mining Leases have been approved for its Dubbo Project but yet its been a number of years now and they haven't got that developed yet. This is largely because the project is too expensive to develop, so noone is willing to lend them the money.
I think of recent, they've decided to invest outward of Tomingley and Dubbo, thus gold investments in CAI and EXU makes sense to them.
