Any RIO move would likely attract other suitors, so they can't just buy it for a song. Not sure if things have changed but from memory suitors generally took two types of approach 1/ take a position in the company buying on market quickly up to 19.9%.
Then declare their intention to buy.
Or make an unsolicited offer to the company , which is then flagged to the world via an announcement and perhaps triggered a bidding war .
Then nearology will go ballistic. IMHO.
