CCZ aren't the victim here. They breached serveral provisions of their exploration license and have been busted for it. Whether they could have avoided being busted for it by engaging with the green group is a matter for debate. The effort required to engage with them properly is pretty minimal, probably worth the effort I'd suggest.

I bought a run down dump of a house early this year and are currently going through the process of getting planning permits and a building permits. Holding the house is expensive waiting for these to be issued (six months and counting since my submission, what the f do councils actually do to take so long???). So I got bored and dug a trench to put pluming in. A neighbor complained and the council sent out an inspector who issued a stop work notice.

Since that stop work notice I've had three check ups from the inspector making sure no more work was being done.

Now obviously mining is completely different. But bureaucrats are all the same. CCZ can expect extra attention now so any more sloppiness is not an option.
