Just throwing a theory out there:
Nigel was quoted at the AGM as stating any raising of funds at this point would be through OTs or through a partner.
Given Huayou’s placement was announced in a similar fashion (capital raise TH, see https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-trading-halt.3592584/), also the term “proposed” being used potentially indicating a sizeable position that may require shareholder approval? So maybe we are seeing a new partner come onboard?

like I said just a theory and I am not holding out hope. Could just as easily be a few mil CR to tie them over for DFS and not be held at whim to Huayou converting their options.
