don’t hold any hopes for near term coal production at Ashford.
the rail line that’s proposed to go through is still 100-130km west and no siding is proposed for loading.
the roads in this area are substandard and not up to carrying extra 1000s of tonnes p.a.
the coal is in the ground no doubting that but the economics and logistics of transporting it are too big a challenge against it in my opinion
