I was confident then,
Am more so now, that the train I boarded is headed in the direction I expected it to when I bought my ticket.

But this ain't going to be one of those snazzy bullet train trips I've experienced across Japan. Which were always fast, smooth, on time & effortless travel.

I know full well I have boarded a stock version of say 'Puffing Billy' instead.

These seats aren't that comfy at all, the track we will travel along will jolt like a b$tch at times & the speed is going to be much, much slower than everyone wants.

I don't know, but there may well even be a time or two that we need to get out & help push this bloody thing uphill? I'm prepared to do that.....some won't or can't for whatever reasons? (& that's fine).

I'm confident of getting to my destination,
But I expect to get there far later than what I want, weary from the travel & stiff & bloody sore.

I currently see no other alternative,
None whatsoever ever.

If your still there when we finally pull in?

Then lets go grab a beer, we'll have deserved it.
