I am unaware of any precedents, although I haven't put any effort into looking for one.

I believe the ASX listing rules requires companies to give at least 20 business days notice prior to the expiry of the options, We should get the official notice around the 5th July, anyone can exercise options at any time, you only need to contact the company to request the forms.

I believe the R&D rebates are similar to GST refunds,
I cannot remember the % that companies get back, I think it is 43%.

If FGR spends $1mil on R&D we receive $430k back from the Government.
