The uptake of the product has been much slower than many of us wanted/ anticipated/ expected.

At a risk of repeating myself,

The product is not a new brand of washing up detergent, type of nail gun, brand of pet food or oil for your car......(feel free to insert any other consumable here - but I am sure that you get the idea).

more specific, it is not a different brand of bandage, medical instrument or even medication.

It is a product that can not be easily re[placed if not functioning, and has dire consequences associated with failure, with minimal (and I mean that....minimal as a stretch) evidence that will likely satisfy the clinicians to quickly use it. Appologies to any clinicaians out there if I am off the mark.

we have 10 years of clinical experience - no real human clinical 'trials' that I am aware of - all we have is a large international case series (it was 30 patients 5 years ago, however in the thousands now) . And it is the high level clinical trials that will generally provide the sufficient level of evidence that will support uptake by the specialists in large numbers.....that is currently available. Yes we have case reports and presentations adn even U Tube videos...but no controlled randomised trial.........there was one started but it was stopped.

The q on q increase in reciepts (sales) mean that the use of the product(s) is increasing (yay!!!!) however, for the rapid acceptance that so many of us hoped for, it is not likely to happen.

The product is gaining traction and hopefully will continue (thats why we are all still here) but it is an industry with traditional approaches to trying new ideas (products) adn that is unlikely to change.

The train is rolling and it will gather speed - it may just still take a while for all to want to jump on.
