I think the TH took the market by surprise coming out a day after the Investor presentation. It certainly took some of us by surprise who watch this closely. This leads me to think that the sell down may have been coincidental & nothing to do with results?

@thymus I really do feel for you mate. It’s been a long
3 years & the day is suddenly (and unexpectedly) upon us. I think we all make assumptions & Actinogen have kept us well updated recently & we have been told on track for Q2 multiple times. The extra indications & trials, has the market taken this as ‘Xanamem has failed in AD’? Questions we have all probably asked ourselves.

If the market thought this was ’coming now’, don’t you think volume would have been larger in trading? More a question than an answer.

It’s a very protective human trait to go the glass half empty route, so that if news isn’t great, we won’t be so disappointed, and that’s totally understandable, especially if you were planning on selling some to derisk a bit if you have a massive holding. I’m excited for the ANN but trying to remain ambivalent, for the same reasons, we all do it, & a learned behaviour from past disappointments. If we hadn’t of seen that selling the day prior, would the vibe of this board be different? Probably somewhat, but we all knew it was a high risk clinical area to invest in & really hoping it’s positive in endpoints, all 7, albeit some overlap.

It’s normal to be a bit anxious when you have a lot riding on something that you really believe in, & then start questioning yourself & your decisions. There is no point in worrying about something you cannot change, and either we have some fantastic news (And if that is the case, it will be BIG news in the AD space), or we lick our wounds & get back up again. My feeling it will be the former, or into Ph3 with higher doses, as @wagster has just stated, & that certainly is not negative.

I was actually going to discuss ACW with a work colleague this week & flick her all the Investor information. We didn’t get time & now in TH. Bring on Tuesday & well said @Wasabibarako. I hope your Japan
trip is enjoyable.

The aducanumab story is in no way stale news, they were going to go again with Ph3 then recently announced they would not. It’s been an ongoing saga, if you read Pharma news. Completely different approach to treating AD than what Actinogen are doing.

MABs have been wonder drugs in other indications (eg severe asthma Omalizumab, Mepolizumab). This is but just one example. High cost drugs, of course. Big Pharma cash cows.

I’m guessing most AD sufferers will require something on PBS that is effective & affordable, and cheaper worldwide than MABs. We are really lucky in Australia with Special Access Schemes for those that need it most & qualify for criteria.

I had a patient joking with me recently, he could sell his drug dose on EBay when giving his injection, $3000 a dose, I guess you could, but if it’s making you better & no cost to you, why would you even consider that?

Just an aside story, however Australia probably can’t afford expensive drug treatments in AD with the numbers of patients involved. Now & in the future. Maybe Xanamem will be preventative? Something to think about.
