Every $ is important and every minute so they can't waste any.

If the agreement to design brakes doesn't come with fee and costs paid or definite sales , contract should they meet criteria required then to me it is just research. We have seen a lot of that over the years.

Wording concerns me a little as "agreement to provide brake design services" but lets see what they get in return for providing these services.

They simply don't have free cash although staff may have free time that may be more productively used but I am unsure of their in house technical ability these days.?

I hope they get a good agreement that leads somewhere
