It could just be an asset acquisition and not necessarily a whole company acquisition. Perhaps one or more of the Barrick or Newmont assets?
This certainly explains the huge weight that’s been hanging in the SP. This has been masterfully controlled. The raising will be at 300 is my guess. Hopefully, now that the pressure should be removed, we could start the move up again (assuming the deal is a good one).
