The results were not expected to be statistically significant at this point. The trial is designed to run for a certain length of time and have a certain number of patients to be able to detect a statistically significant effect. The results at this stage are positive, but we need to wait to know one way or another.
I have noticed the market has a very bad a understanding of trials. MSB SP fell from $2.50 to $1.10 on the back of the results of LVAD trial, yet this same trial is now the basis of a orphan drug designation for use in LVAD patients.
