Also Philippines have a widening budget deficit, spending like mad and are planning to increases taxes on mining so to shut down operational gold mine that employs 100's of local people directly and who knows how many benefit indirectly (family, suppliers etc) and pay taxes would hurt even more.
But this is Philippines so who knows how they look at things like that?
