If there was very little to no chance of this company getting some positive results from its upcoming trials then there's no way that the people who've stumped up the cash would have done so. That's my opinion anyways.
2020 is next year, so if you're going to raise funds you're probably looking at having to do it before any results are released for the clinical trials, regardless. I'd probably be in the minority but I'm not too surprised this was done now.
