@Gazzle Dazzle said he "knew there was a reason for the sell off for the couple of months". Now, either he meant that "someone NOT associated with the company was clever enough to predict a capital raise", which is perfectly fine *OR* he's saying that someone who *IS* associated with the company sold off some shares, knowing that a capital raise was coming.
The first explanation would be pretty unremarkable. The second would be an accusation of insider trading, and would need some evidence to back it up, and as you said, there hasn't been any changes in the Top 20, so seems very unlikely.
I can't think of a reason why anyone associated with the company would push the price down. The fact that they are funded publicly makes no difference - as you said "would you even care" whether the business is making any money?
