Yes you can particularly when you keep repeating the same false information over and over with an intent to cause damage. Of course there are some 'conditions' that need to be met, but if there is enough cash/assets to go after it can be worthwhile. It’s even occurred here in Australia with things like restaurant reviews where businesses have gone after people posting bad reviews comes to mind.
