“Right now Victoria does not have a sensible policy,” is nothing but junk coming from dithering Taylor after dithering Freidenberg did nothing with their National Energy Guarantee (NEG). The last decade has seen electricity & gas price increase dramatically, Australia is the largest exported of gas in the world yet we pay for imported gas for domestic consumption. There is absolutely nothing in National or State energy policy that can help ECT, furthermore Latrobe Valley has not paid even a pittance for Coldry product despite Fozard's gunna do this and gunna do that with LV boilers startups over the last 5+ year and counting.

Coal and coal related products are at a dead end in Australia, if energy policy has any direction it is towards renewables and now ECT has bought a plant to burn more carbon for energy. This can only end in tears for ECT shareholders.
