Yes exsisting holders have been wiped out. The company is now owned by a different mob of people and debt has been reduced.
Even though its owned by different people the company's flawed business model hasn't changed. It is still based on being a blood sucking parasite on the franchisees.
It is just a horrible business and business model and you will make a lot more money over time avoiding the bad businesses and sticking to the good ones.
No matter how cheap a bad business is its still a bad business.
Is there a buck in this? short term, maybe, maybe not. But if you hold this thing longer term the share price will follow the performance of the business, which is certain to be bad.
