I don't like to speculate, I think there are some rather absurd ideas being thrown around in this thread. So in the interest of this thread being balanced I have to think it's convertible notes.
My opinion on some of the other ideas floated:-
Government is out because the announcement would more than likely say grant. There are several grants available to robotics companies however the recipients are private or NFP's. Government will give R&D rebates for listed companies rather than grants as listed companies can raise capital by other means.
Brickworks and Wienerberger are our because I've never seen a company enter into a major agreement and call it fund raising. Bricksworks has made two large acquisitions in previous years funnily enough in November. I was going to paste the links to the announcements for reference however I have a headache. The info can be obtained by performing a Google search using "Bricksworks + acquisitions". I don't imagine Bricksworks spending millions to fund another companies venture when the pay off for them would not be that great. Wienerberger is basically in the same position, why would they fund another company? They make plenty by doing what they already do.
"Fundraising" imo is simply a nice way to say convertible notes. I'd love to see some great news but I'm realistic and I believe FBR are probably two years away from any decent revenue. Funding is going to be a real issue for the company over that time frame. It would be great if DST could be developed as an add-on to existing equipment to speed up the pathway to revenue. I would not be surprised to see a takeover in the next 12 months from Caterpillar if FBR cannot get funds in hand within that time frame. I hate to say it but I believe the takeover would be more like a fire sale rather than a win for shareholders.
This is my honest view of how I see things playing out. It's all opinion based and I welcome my opinion being challenged.
