Con notes is NOT a reasonable move. Sorry. It opens up FBR's share price to destructive price manipulation. It also says a lot about their ability to raise funds from other sources. Quite frankly I would have preferred a CR and if they had come to existing shareholders, I bet it would be oversubscribed.
But we are still speculating at this stage. We don't know what it is. If it's the notes, the board needs to be spilled. I hope it's not.
