Northern Star Resources is seeking to raise $765 million to fund its purchase of Newmont Goldcorp's 50 per cent stake in Western Australia's Super Pit gold mine.The acquisition price is $US800 million ($1.16 billion) which will be funded via the raising proceeds and another $480 million in debt.Canaccord Genuity and Macquarie Capital are overseeing the institutional placement.The offer price has been pegged at $9 a share.
