Well, the two words not mentioned were "credit" and "raising". So anything is possible.
It could well be a merger but more likely some sort of partnership style agreement or at least SOCO taking a substantial piece of VMT.
However, I don't think we can take a possible merger off the table - though the announcement was not an offer but a significant financial transaction.
Who knows - we are all just speculating aren't we?
