This would not qualify, IMO, for a trading halt if the deal went through as scheduled. One would think it'd be a trading as normal announcement.
There's a can of worms to speculate over here, either, positive or negatively.
One positive, in our favour atm is the Covid 19 driven bear market of late that will impact heavily on today's market and perhaps even Monday.
Looking forward to Tuesday's announcement.
Interesting to here an above post speculating the CATL have raised capital and could be eyeing off AVZ. I'd say no to a TO under $1... just saying ;-)

As you say, approval wouldn't ordinarily necessitate a TH but these are no ordinary times, market-wise. In which case why announce today with a tanking market but wait until Tues. That would be the smart play, IMO.
