The tests are prohibited in some states as an ACUTE diagnosis tool......this is very different than being prohibited for use entirely.
Acute has a very specific meaning in the medical arena. Acute: Of abrupt onset, in reference to a disease
These tests are prohibited specifically to try and diagnose the “abrupt onset” of the virus. Obviously this is because they test for antibodies that would not be present in the “abrupt onset’ phase of infection as they have not been developed by the body yet.
The prohibition is purely to stop the use of these tests in the acute (meaning very beginning) of an infection, they are not prohibited from being used after the acute phase.
