The David Williams-chaired firm told the market the halt was part of the finalisation of clinical trial results, a trading update and an update to do with funding.
The Australian-listed PolyNovo is a medical device company that focuses on tissue repair through its technology.
The company is based in Melbourne and has a $1.1bn market value, although the company was worth almost double that amount earlier this year.
It comes as Southern Cross Media has been positioning itself to raise $150m through Macquarie Capital at 8c a share.
