Yeah, my thoughts too. Selling the share portfolio however means less volatility in earnings and less writedowns that occur affecting profits and from time to time accelerating rights issues by QBE, like this time.
In turbulent times ahead, far better for QBE to play safe and retain a good margin business unaffected by markets crises like this one
