Ultimately Virgin need a plan for at least the next 6 months otherwise there is no point burning cash, its best to close shop.

Most of the revenue is from domestic travel if you look at the traffic and capacity statistics. Best estimates would see domestic travel return to some norm within the next 3 months however international possibly next year.

Its this 3 month gap with no revenue which is causing the major headache.

Ironically with oil so cheap there is profit to be made on fuel savings if the airlines can resume service.

Assuming Alan Joyce is sitting back smoking a cuban at the moment !
