Agree @Chillaxed you can't really read that statement any other way if we have the real spin (which we should have in a Company ASX Announcement).
Wouldn't it be great if Australia backed this project and I'm not saying that's what you are saying at all. Especially after Australia knocked it back for this reason.
But this concerns me:
AVZ Managing Director, Mr Nigel Ferguson, said: “Naturally, we are disappointed with the outcome of the FIRB application process but will double our efforts and commitment to bring our world-class Manono Project into production.”
No due disrespect to Nigel Ferguson but with his remuneration from multiple entities including his portion from AVZ "Doubling Down their efforts & commitment" should be a must (it shouldn't have to be said). I know it's a term of speech but gee, he needs to garner some belief and confidence amongst the AVZ Holders (Big & Small).
