I've been resisting throwing my two bob's worth in because when it comes to my thoughts on this Company, I'm usually wrong but I'll give it a whirl anyway. If the worst was to occur, it would achieve absolutely nothing to have a board reshuffle at this point. The current Directors would still be the ones lined up against the wall. This morning's ASX notice normally posted by the Secretary was penned by Richard Beresford. Thank god there's still an Ozzie or two there. Sort these guys out please Dickie! So if we were to assume that Andrew Gould is out then you would logically think that this duty would then fall to the CEO or in his/her absence the Chairman, however I would say that GV no longer qualifies for either as one way or another he's out the door. The business has been run into the ground and shareholder value has been decimated. Someone must take responsibility for that and he has no credibility left with any shareholders nor potential investors even peers for that matter. Clear evidence of that was the departure of Baupost although to be fair, they have been repositioning their own portfolios in recent times however Seth Klarman obviously had no faith in the ability of the current BOD's to return his USD150m or thereabouts. Any other business, institution, soph. investors or whoever will no way put money into, merge, buy us while GV is still at the helm. That would be one of the conditions. Who would given where we have ended up under his stewardship? He's been given a clear vote of no confidence. If we are to survive in whatever form, it will be under someone else's leadership. Maurice are you there?? (Joking but would be nice.)
