It is material as in "not immaterial". It has a substantial effect to the ongoing concern nature of the company. Very lateral thinking there though. Good one. So it could be good or bad in general. In this case they have spelled out the takeoff so its good.
Or it could mean they found diamonds lying around in the material and someone will buy them. That is material in both senses of the phrase.
