Struggling to imagine the scenario how a bogger gets down an open stope with someone at the controls, unless they went through a bund into a finished level or down a RAR??? Something has gone very wrong and no doubt rules were broken to let it occur and also to get them out when it did. Usually it is difficult to get all the details out of the Mines Dep due to legal reasons etc. so the grapevine will have to provide.
Thoughts are with the colleagues and family of the deceased. These are real people.

Can certainly understand your first sentence. However; the ‘grapevine’ is akin to a ‘rumour’ .... it relies on being told and retold. The only thing is that the end story can not be determined as fact, no matter how good the intentions of the ‘grapevine’.
