Something mentioned here recently was that the battery management system can now mimic a lead acid battery. So cost of replacing lead acid batteries is just the difference in the cost of the batteries themselves. Nothing else will need to be updated. Granted that the buyer will want to see some significant benefit from Redflow batteries compared to what they are replacing.
There could even be a cost saving. Lead acid battery installations have to take into account the loss of capacity as they age. So maybe they would put in, say, 10 batteries to allow for the full capacity towards the end of their life. Given that Redflow batteries provide full capacity all their life, the installation might get away with 8 instead of 10.
