Yep, Kalium lakes/ SO4 will add 25% increase in supply to the SOP mkt...

"To put this in perspective, the total potassium fertiliser market was 71 million tonnes in 2019, comprising 64 million tonnes of MOP and 7 million tonnes of SOP. Importantly SOP trades at nearly twice the price of MOP and is currently experiencing a global supply shortage."

SOP is the premium product and useful in many fruit and vegetables not tolerant to chloride. Think the world moving off mono crop diet to more varied food groups as affluence grows.

We are in the lowest cost quartile for SOP production and in the case of oversupply MOP will be pushed out, also W.A producers will begin to corner more of the mkt in this hypothetical scenario, a scenario which probably won't play out anyway because we are breeding like rabbits and SOP will be in great demand, like other things such as energy, and tragically clean water..

And we all be thirsty rich

And yep, someones going to want some scrip at around 7 cents is my hunch..

Then we go a gold digging.

One final point is if W.A SOP production was going to effect market dynamics perhaps buyers wouldn't bother signing offtakes and locking in to one supplier, rather wait and buy from the cheapest supplier in a saturated mkt..
