While something has "potential" anti-inflammatory properties (as they have suggested in their pre-clinical study), does not mean it will help with COVID-19. (We all know one of the ingredient curcumin is a traditional inflammatory for arthritis)
I believe what these MXC people trying to do is here is to throw people with some medical/chemical terms, and trying to mislead them believing any anti-inflammatory drugs "may potentially" help with the inflammation conditions associated with COVID.
As your example has suggested, while Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory Drugs (NASID) can help with inflammation associated with cold and flu symptoms (say sore throat for instance), one cannot assume NSAIDs would be effective in other inflammatory conditions such as asthma or COVID.
But for people without medical/pharmaceutical background, when someone heard something with "anti-inflammatory potential", they would assume this can apply in all inflammation conditions.
