I think if they find a vaccine that the virus cannot hack and mutate into something worse its ongoing to be an ongoing problem. Prevention is much cheaper than vaccinating the whole planet. How many doses would you need?? And how long would it take, be like painting the harbour bridge, soon as you vaccinated bullions of people it will have mutated.
You have China and Russia cranking out a vaccine based on the common cold. So this is open to mutating into something more deadly. Say if people working in aged care could do a test at the front door before entering how many infections would that stop.
Same for hospitals and schools, When you look at the test rates per million in certain countries it makes you wonder how many people are obilivious to this virus.
