If any of you are 708 certified, which from the sounds of it a few of you are just on NVA holdings alone, you can get access to many of these deals now outside of the traditional broker setup.
There are several online companies now that essentially just build up a database of 708 investors and actively seek allocations in most cap raisings. In the past my broker had to ring around like mad the morning a company went into trading halt to find out who was doing the raise etc and get bids back within hours. Now I just get an email each morning(normally several a day and 7 days a week) telling me what deals are out there that they have access to. You've got to know how to filter the deals obviously and how to overbid if you think you'll get scaled back but it's great to have that opportunity. They essentially offer a no-advice opportunity to take it or leave it.
I still haven't seen an update yet as to allocations for the NVA placement but it was offered on at least 2 of these sites that I'm signed up to.
