For the share price to fall it requires people to sell.
When a stock has risen this much in a short period of time, the natural inclination of longer term holders who bought in much earlier is to take profits along the way for fear of losing those gains on a pull back.
However I feel a CR at $1.70 will result in a significant level of support at this price, and that now any pull back is less likely to go below this level.
As a result of my expectation that $1.70 will be a new floor price, I no longer feel the need to lock in profits by selling around the current levels. If other long term holders feel the same, then this capital raise could in fact reduce selling pressure over the medium term and help push the price higher.
Of course their may still be some short term selling from day traders and others who don't have the stomach for it, but overall i think it's a positive.
