Based on what i've seen across the market this year, there are certain stocks which I believe had been pumped and dumped.

My question.
Do you believe that the stock is dodgy or rather the groups of pumper/dumpers who may be responsible and targeting vulnerable stocks releasing good news.

If you monitor the tape/course of sales on the real-time transactions, the manner in which the transactions occur are obviously driven by high frequency algorithmic programs. So unless someone can confirm that the algo programs are SCU's or if they did hire a firm to try to jack up the price by pump/dumping, then it's not fair to label stocks as dodgy.

That's just my opinion. Happy to hear other observations on the pump/dump landscape or key indicators of dodgy stocks.

P.S I do wish the ASX would ban these algo programs.
