At the local Tax rate Barrick at a much lower GOLD price Barrick would have needed a Net Taxable Income of $100 mill plus to generate an Amended assessment of $40 mill you expect to receive for 2017.
That scenario is basically impossible on tailings unless Mali Taxation just pick a number and double it
If it can be shown Barrick deliberately understated income and with held that from FFX we could seek recourse from Barrick. Doubt it will be significant enough to bother anyway..
