Yeah that is weird - there were news reports yesterday of a tech metals shortage due to China restricting tech metals exports to the US - to make it difficult to build fighter jets (which is quite a scary move from China really) . I thought the jump in price was caused by that, as the US will quickly be looking to sure up their supply chain from friendly suppliers in friendly countries. Perhaps the hot buying yesterday was unrelated to this announcement.
