I put an * around the exercise terms because I haven't seen them, and I'd also like to see more details around the one off costs associated with doing the deal.

Let's look at the facts though.

$1.25Bil U.S lend secured over 5 years with 0% interest to be paid
APT get to buy back the majority of the U.S business, pay out incentives and clear the decks for future International listing/investors
APT are able to continue to use every $ they have to acquire new customers and expand into more regions
Rising interest rates have less affect on their earnings as they have already secured long term debt well above short-medium term liquidity requirements

This is a very smart strategic move right now. Secure as much debt at as a low as possible cost over the most critical stage of the international expansion. To top it off shareholders aren't diluted until the company actually grows materially.
