As I see it, there are probably three outcomes here:
1. Novartis have cut a deal, of course they have, why wouldn’t they, because THIS IS NOT A DRUG PEOPLE, and SI is a genius – duh!
2. Novartis have not cut a deal, because they are boneheaded number crunchers, and SI has outflanked them because he’s a genius – duh!
3. It’s a garden variety CR at $1.50/share, but that’s OK because dilution doesn’t matter, and anyway you don’t lose money until you sell, and it’s probs, no defs strategically brilliant because, actually, did I mention SI is a genius?
