Conjecture, conjecture, conjecture......... we are all guessing based on our bias or gut feeling.
This looks to me like it is probably going to have a negative connotation about it.
Why? The word that stood out to me was “Targeted”. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s telling me that SI has approached a third party about raising funds, not an approach made to the company. If I am correct, this could mean that the Novartis partnership could be dead in the water and has forced SI’s hand somewhat.
If that is true, approaching an Industry Investor will be based on their knowing he has his hands tied behind his back. Probably not good for the terms of that investment.
I hope I’ve got this totally wrong, but something is not sitting right with me......gut feeling!
