Anything is possible with the allocation of the $40M.

The ASA is still referring to a $68M investment on its web site. So perhaps it applied for $68M and received only $40M.

One option is that the bulk of the $40M is split equally between the 3 tech companies. This is unlikely I think, because each would have different needs - which would have been evident in their respective bids to ASA before the grsnt application was finalised.

Another possibility - perhaps a long shot - is that the Department of Health negotiated a grant outcome on the ASA dropping one of the 3 tech partners as they may have believed 3 was 'overkill'.

We will just have to wait and see. Hopefully Monday.
