Define for me hard rock ?
The sedimentary deposits in Western USA will all consist of conventional open-cut mining i.e. surface miners or routine excavators, as opposed to liquid (brine) extraction processes.
The differences between spodumene vs mica vs "clay" exist, yet the method of mining remains similar in that all 3 are "solids" that maintain their shape as opposed to a liquid deposit.
